Conclusions
Bilingual education can be a key tool for promoting linguistic and cultural diversity in Colombia, provided it isn't limited solely to teaching English but also values, includes, and revitalizes indigenous and creole languages. This can contribute to the preservation of these languages and the reduction of linguistic hierarchies that perpetuate social inequalities

The design and implementation of bilingual programs should focus on fostering a more understanding and tolerant society, promoting empathy, respect, and intercultural coexistence. This can be achieved through activities that highlight minority languages and cultures, train teachers in intercultural approaches, and provide opportunities for dialogue between diverse communities.

Bilingual education should not only be seen as a path to better jobs or greater social mobility, but also as a means to strengthen the cultural identity of communities and promote linguistic equity. By valuing all languages equally, educational programs can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
